More about Pediatrics at the SCNM Medical Center
Naturopathic doctors (NDs) are trained to look beyond superficial symptoms and explore nutritional, emotional, environment, hereditary and infectious factors that often are the cause or contribute to a patient’s condition. NDs offer healthy solutions to treat children for chronic conditions and acute diseases, perform wellness exams based on the same schedule and tools MDs use, offer vaccinations based on an individual child’s needs, can conduct routine and specialty lab testing, and much more.

“For years, we were unable to find a doctor who could improve our son’s condition (a persistent rash covering most of his body)…we couldn’t do anything to make him feel better. Everything turned around once we found Dr. Baral at SCNM. He was the answer we had been searching for.” - Anthony
“Dr. Baral spent a lot of time getting to know our son and quickly saw the symptoms of autism. Dr. Baral’s diet and supplementation recommendations were so easy. And slowly, we started to get our little boy back.” - Johanna and David

Dr. Mitchell graduated from SCNM in 2005 and became the first naturopathic pediatric resident in 2007. She utilizes homeopathy, nutrition, botanical medicine, hydrotherapy and environmental medicine in the care of her patients.
