New Student Scholarships 2004

Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine announces the availability of the following scholarship awards for the Fall 2005 Incoming Class.The awards range from $1000 - $3000, which will be credited to the recipient’s tuition during the student’s first four quarters.

These scholarship awards are based on either financial need, academic excellence or both. Financial need is determined by completing an SCNM Need Based Form.

Academic excellence is determined by the Scholarship Review Committee and based on cumulative grade point average(gpa) for all post secondary coursework, prerequisite gpa, and undergraduate major. Incoming students are eligible to win only one SCNM Scholarship Award, although you may apply for multiple awards.

To apply for the scholarships, please:

  1. Print out and complete the 2005 New Student Scholarship Application Form
  2. Print out and complete any/all required forms/documents (per individual scholarships)
  3. Fax to 480.858.9116 attn: Debbie Richards OR email us the required forms/documents to d.fisher@scnm.edu.

Academic Awards
Outstanding New Student Awards
Amount: $1,000 - $3,000
Criteria:

  • Incoming 2005 student
  • Academic Based
  • No application necessary, all 2005 admitted students are eligible and will be considered for the award.
  • For incoming full time 2005 students only. Award recipient must remain enrolled for one full calendar year during award.

Amount to be awarded over a period of four quarters. Award applied against student account.

Timeline: Awarded on rolling basis. Early application encouraged

Outstanding New Underrepresented Student Awards
Amount: $1,000
Criteria:

  • Incoming 2005 student
  • Under-represented students only (defined as Black, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic, Native American/Alaskan Native, first generation college student or disabled)
  • Academic Based
  • For incoming full time 2005 under-represented students only. Award recipient must remain enrolled for one full calendar year during award.

Amount to be awarded over a period of four quarters. Award applied against student account

Need Based or International Scholarships
International New Student Awards

Amount: $1,000
Criteria:

  • Incoming 2005 student
  • International new students only
