Dr. Tim Schwaiger holds a Masters' degree in Health Services Management and has over 24 years health related experience. He graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and currently serves as faculty and the Director of the Division of Clinical Sciences at SCNM.
Dr. Schwaiger has a private practice and teaching rotations at Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center. His practice focuses on family medicine in treating both acute and chronic conditions. Dr. Schwaiger treats patients with allergies/asthma, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure/cholesterol, prostate conditions, headaches, gastrointestinal disorders, hormone problems, and skin problems. He has had extensive training in Prolotherapy used in the treatment of pain. Among many treatment modalities, he uses nutrition and supplementation, botanical medicine, acupuncture and Chinese medicine, pharmacology, hormone replacement, homeopathy, IV therapy, lifestyle modification, and vertebral manipulation.
Dr. Schwaiger completed a two year residency at SCNM in Family Medicine and served as Chief Resident. He served as Medical Director for the Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center in 2004. He is currently an Assistant Professor at SCNM and teaches the Physical Assessment sequence (PHDX 650, PHDX 710, and PHDX 730).
Dr. Schwaiger is a member of several professional organizations, including the Naturopathic Academy of Therapeutic Injection, the Arizona Public Health Cancer Prevention Committee, and Chair of the Physiology Section for the Naturopathic Physician Licensing Examination (NPLEX).
