
Patricia Gaines, N.D.

Dr. Patricia Gaines graduated from Bastyr University in 2002 with a degree in Naturopathic Medicine. She continued her training at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences (SCNM) in Tempe, Ariz. where she completed a two-year family practice residency, with an emphasis on botanical medicine, homeopathy and women’s health.
Dr. Gaines is currently an Assistant Professor at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Supervisor at Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center. She also supervises students at an extended site for SCNM providing Naturopathic Medicine at Sojourner Center, a domestic violence shelter for women and children. Dr. Gaines treats acute and chronic disease using nutrition and lifestyle counseling, homeopathy and botanical medicine.
Dr. Gaines currently teaches the following courses at SCNM: Southwest Botanicals (BOTM 720), Naturopathic Materia Medica Pharmacognosy/Therapeutics I (BOTM 743), and Naturopathic Materia Medica Pharmacognosy/Therapeutics III (BOTM 817).
