GETTING INVOLVED

(photo) w/ student quote

There are many ways to get involved as a student at SCNM

The Department of Student Affairs, along with the Student Government Association, keep SCNMs student clubs and organizations running like well-oiled machines. At SCNM you don't have to limit your education to the classroom. Often it's the extracurricular experiences that students remember for a lifetime and say best prepared them for their future. Our advice is to make the most of your experience at SCNM by focusing not only on academics but getting involved in other aspects of college life as well.

Getting involved is easy and fun.  Don’t be shy. Take advantage of the many opportunities for student involvement.

Student Affairs considers these main categories of involvement
Community service programs

All students are required to perform a minimum number of hours of community service prior to graduation.  Volunteer at the AANP conference, speak at a local community center or volunteer at a local clinic or hospital.  Chances to get involved with the Phoenix community are plentiful. For more information, click here.

How to get involved: Contact Student Services Specialist for details.

College Committees

Did you know there is student representation on various committees at SCNM, including the Library Committee, the Retention Team, the Enrollment Management Committee, the Curriculum Committee, the SCNM Board of Trustees, to name a few.

How to get involved: Contact the Student Government Association.

Student Organizations and Clubs

Naturopreneurs Society, the Midwifery Club, Imhotep Circle, even the SCNM softball team. The College’s list of over ten recognized student clubs is as varied as the students who join. For more information, click here.

How to get involved: Each club has a separate contact. Please contact the Dean of Students

Student Government Association (SGA)
