Haiti Update
The Naturopaths International (NI) team, assisted by two acupuncturists, saw over 2,700 patients during their two weeks in Haiti. The NI team consisted of SCNM Alumni Dr. Brandie Gowey, Dr. Jon Kalman, Dr. Decker Weiss, Dr. Emily Davenport, Dr. Firlande Volcy, and Dr. Runako Aaron. Aaron Branch, of Branch Construction, joined the team to assist in the disaster relief efforts.
Most of the conditions the team treated were related to pain from injuries sustained during the earthquake, dehydration, malnutrition, and infections. Homeopathy, acupuncture, and Seroyal's HMF probiotics were some of the main treatments utilized.
