SCNM - Technical Help
Technical Help

We’re sorry if you are experiencing technical difficulties with our website. Please try these recommendations to resolve the problem:

  1. You may need to update or optimize your web browser.

For Windows Users - Are you running Internet Explorer? If yes, what version of Internet Explorer are you running? For the latest version of Internet Explorer, click here.

For Mac OS X Users – Are you running Apple’s Safari? If yes, are you running the most recent version? For the latest version of Safari, click here.

For Mac OS 8-9 Users – Are you running Microsoft Internet Explorer? If yes, are you running the most recent version? For the latest version of Internet Explorer, click here.

  2. Have you updated your system software lately?

For Windows Users - Open your internet browser. Go to TOOLS, select WINDOWS UPDATE. On the screen, select SCAN FOR UPDATES. Your computer will perform a scan to determine needed software updates. Upon the conclusion of the scan, you will be prompted to update selected programs. Once completed, you will be asked to restart your computer – click yes.

For Mac Users - In your Apple Menu, go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES (Mac OS X) or CONTROL PANELS (Mac OS 8-9), select SOFTWARE UPDATE. Your computer will perform a scan to determine needed software updates. Upon the conclusion of the scan, you will be prompted to update selected programs. Once completed, you may be asked to restart your computer – if so, click restart.

  3. Have you updated your antivirus software and run a complete scan?

Some viruses can affect the behavior of your Internet browser. Make sure you have up to date anti-virus software and that you have run a complete virus scan on your system.

  4. Have you checked for and removed any adware/spyware on your system?

The presence of adware or spyware can seriously impact not only the performance of your system but also the performance and behavior of your internet browser.

These programs are usually associated with most of the free software that you can download off the internet and are installed on your computer with out your knowledge. We recommend scanning your computer periodically for the presence of these unwanted programs. Adaware is an excellent utility that scans for and removes adware/spyware. You can download it at http://www.lavasoftusa.com

If you are still experiencing technical difficulties, please contact your internet provider or your local computer technician. If you believe there is an error on our web site, click here to go to our contact form. Be sure to select "Web Site Support/Comments" from the Subject pop-up menu.

Thank you.
