New 2^nd Year Homeopathy Resident

SCNM will have a new 2^nd year homeopathy resident, Dr Elizabeth (Betsy) Rice, SCNM 2009 graduate, beginning October 2010. Thanks to a continuing generous grant from Standard Homeopathic, parent company of Treatment Options: Homeopathic Laboratories, and Hyland’s , the SCNM Homeopathy Department has been able to provide an advanced and specialized residency experience for the future leaders of the homeopathy in the naturopathic profession.

Dr. Rice began her deep interest in homeopathy during her third year as a student, in her first clinic rotation. She has been attending homeopathy clinic rotations every quarter since, and has focused on it more and more during her first year residency. Her goals are to become an expert in this very difficult art, and contribute to the profession by writing articles for lay and professional publications, as well as by participating in teaching the next generation of homeopaths. In her spare time she loves to practice yoga, prepare fresh foods, hike, travel, and spend time outdoors.

Dr. Rice says that she has “large shoes” to fill, coming to this position after such remarkable previous post-graduate homeopathic specialists: Drs, Udell, Haller, Ham, and Oskin. We are sure that given her intelligence, enthusiasm, drive, and innate compassion she will fit right in with this outstanding group of young physicians.
