Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine offers an innovative medical curriculum that integrates a challenging program of basic science education with intensive clinical mentoring. More than a hands-on classroom for clinical training students, the Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center is a center for lifelong learning for all health (care) professionals. Our Medical Center and affiliated off-site and extended site clinics are centers for learning for hundreds of clinical training students pursuing their naturopathic degree, for clinical or research fellows conducting research, and for house staff facilitating patient care. The Medical Center has numerous off-site facilities and maintains strong business ties in an integrative community.
At the core of the medical program is their educational and research program. For our medical students, Southwest College embraces a problem solving, case-method approach to learning, offering our students the opportunity to come in contact with patient cases early in their studies.
The work students accomplish through their clinical training does not go unnoticed. AIDS Project Arizona recently awarded Southwest College a Special Achievement Award in recognition of leadership in the fight against AIDS. The students of Southwest College are out making a difference every day. The College strives to acquire the most beneficial affiliations, pleasing students in a variety of clinical settings with the goal of graduating exemplary and seasoned naturopathic physicians.
