TEMPE, Ariz. — The Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences (SCNM) received a generous donation of $300,000 in the form of product credit from Thorne Research. The total sum of this gift will be administered over the next five years and serve to advance the mission of SCNM.

Thorne’s gift will directly benefit SCNM’s new 47,000-square-foot Community Commons building, which officially opened in 2015. In recognition of Thorne’s generosity, the Community Commons’ high-tech, 240-seat auditorium will now be called the Thorne Research Auditorium.

Thorne Research has been providing high-quality, innovative nutraceuticals since 1984. During the past 14 years, Thorne has donated more than $1,000,000 to SCNM, contributing to enhanced student and patient experiences and increasing the college’s capacity to both innovate and grow.

“As a global leader in personalized health solutions, Thorne has fostered relationships with elite institutions and organizations in healthcare, health education and athletics,” said Dr. Paul Mittman, ND, EdD, President and CEO of SCNM. “In addition, Thorne has supported the naturopathic profession's licensure efforts in many, many states. SCNM is proud to enjoy such a longstanding relationship with Thorne Research.”
