Job Description
Prevention magazine seeks exceptional Research Director. Responsibilities include ensuring that all copy is fact checked and accurate, overseeing research staff and alerting legal to any potential problems with an article.
Additional responsibilities include conducting primary research, approving all pages for accuracy prior to shipping, and working with copy and art to ensure that copy flows smoothly.
Must be efficient and organized with own work, while managing a research staff.
Attributes:
* 4-5 years' experience researching and fact checking
* Management skills
* Exceptional research skills
* Familiarity with Nexis and other database searches very important
* Proficiency in Quark and MS Word
* Familiarity with health, fitness, and nutrition desired
* Excellent time management and prioritization skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Willingness to be flexible to project needs
* Ability to perform as part of a team as well as individually
* A positive, pro-active, solution-oriented approach to problems
