Director of Nutritional Information in NY-Long Island location
This company is a national leader in the production and sales of vitamins and supplements. This Director level position is based in New York and offers great opportunity for long term growth.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Oversee nutrition and consumer affairs departments in 3 locations (NY, FL and CO).
Works closely with the following departments to promote Company products: R&D, QC, QA, New Product Development, Website, Merchandising Advertising, Manufacturing, Packaging, and Legal.
Monitor local, state, federal and international regulations for foods and supplements.
Monitor, review and approve label copy and marketing claims to ensure compliance with regulations.
Monitor and review research and ensure adequate substantiation for product claims.
Ideal candidate will possess excellent communications, interpersonal, problem solving and supervisory skills. Must be flexible and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. This position is based in New York.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's Degree in Foods and Nutrition/Dietetics is required. Advanced Degree is strongly preferred.
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the nutritional supplement industry and additional experience in the food industry is preferred.
Candidate should have substantial experience conducting and managing the review of structure/function claims.
Applicant should have strong management skills, as the total organization will encompass close to 40 direct and indirect reports. Apply to :Employment Resource Group,US-NY-Long Island
