Add More Fruits & Vegetables to Your Diet
Sep 8, 2006
Do Fruits & Vegetables Really Need Their Own Month?
Scottsdale, AZ (Sept. 8, 2006)-- September is Fruit & Vegetable Month. So if you have been thinking of adding some color to your diet, this month is your excuse. Fruits & vegetables provide the wide range of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and phytochemicals your body needs to maintain good health and energy levels, and even fight against disease.
September is not the only month Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine thinks about what you eat. In fact, naturopathic physicians (ND), at Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center, in Scottsdale, Ariz., use nutrition as a powerful therapy. A correctly programmed food intake has shown to be powerful in fighting ailments such as: cancer, diabetes, obesity, depression, and aging along with many other types of conditions.
Nutrition is just one of the many modalities naturopathic physicians offer. ND’s use Chinese medicine, physical medicine, botanical medicine, homeopathy, pharmacology, and more in combination with nutrition for optimal health results. So as we salute vegetables and fruits this month, don’t forget that the naturopathic physicians at Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center are available to help you achieve your health goals.
