Battle the Flu Naturally
Jan 11, 2007
Why Isn’t America buying into the Flu Vaccine?
Tempe, AZ (Jan. 11, 2006) – As the government pushes to increase revenue by recommending flu vaccines to all populations (instead of just the young, elderly and immunocompromised) during all seasons (instead of the previously accepted “flu season”); why then are there numerous flu vaccines left on the shelves? Americans are getting smarter, weighing the risk/benefits, supporting their immune systems and gearing up to take on the flu naturally.
The average individual, in good health, can combat the flu. And by doing so, one’s immune system actually becomes stronger and more able to ward off future infections. So how do we take on the flu naturally? According to Naturopathic Physician Mona Morstein, “Naturopathic medicine has many ways to effectively stimulate a person's immune system if they develop the flu. Their own body can fight off the virus rapidly and successfully. We can use vitamins such as Vitamin A and C, minerals such as zinc, Western herbs such as garlic, goldenseal and Echinacea, and other beneficial modalities including homeopathy and hydrotherapy.”
If you or someone you know has the flu, and would like more advice on how to combat the illness without the flu vaccine, or to schedule an appointment with Dr. Morstein, please call Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center at 480.970.0000.
