Monthly Women’s Clinic Available
Scottsdale, Ariz. (Jan. 16, 2007) - The American Cancer Society advises women to begin receiving annual Pap smears at the age of 18 or when they become sexually active. With the rising costs of healthcare this seemingly simple task can be problematic.
Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center can help! One Saturday each month, SCNM's Medical Center offers complete Well Woman annual exams at a reduced cost. These exams include a blood pressure check, heart and lung exam, breast exam and Thin Prep Pap smear for only $40*. The exams, which last about 30 to 45 minutes, are performed by advanced medical students under the direct supervision of a Naturopathic doctor (ND). Upcoming clinic dates are March 17, April 14, May 12, June 16, and July 7.
The Medical Center also offers a Contraception Clinic every Tuesday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. to further assist with women’s wellness. Your visit includes identifying the best birth control method for you, prescriptions at the appointment, and fittings for diaphragms and FemCap for a cost of $40. Well Woman exams are also offered in conjunction with the Contraception Clinic for a total of $60*.
