Pam Martin, M.D.

 Dr. Pam Martin, MD began her career in healthcare at West Texas A&M University, graduating summa cum laude with a BS in Biology and Chemistry. She went on to receive her MD from Texas Tech University, where she completed a pediatric residency focusing on adolescent medicine, ambulatory and developmental pediatrics, neonatal and pediatric intensive care, pediatric cardiology, and pediatric and adolescent psychiatry.
Once through with her schooling, Dr. Martin began a private pediatric practice in Amarillo, caring for children from infancy through adolescence. Additionally, she served as Chief of Pediatrics at High Plains Baptist Hospital in Texas from 1998-2000 and lead AIDS awareness seminars at the community’s junior and senior high schools. In 2003, she came to SCNM with her fiancé, who was accepted as a student.
Before beginning her medical training, she served in the United States Navy for six years as an electronics technician and was honorably discharged at the rank of First Class Petty Officer. As Assistant Professor in clinical sciences, Dr. Martin teaches Medical Ethics (ETHC 760), Dermatology (CLSC 812), and the Clinical Assessment series (CACR 650, 710, &730). As well as the board review classes in Lab DX and Clinical/Physical Diagnosis for NPLEX Phase II. She has been a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), American Medical Women’s Association, Texas Medical Association, local medical societies, American Association of Pediatrics, and Soroptomist International.
