Nicole Cain, N.D.

Resident Physician

Dr. Nicole Cain practices general family medicine, with a particular interest in mental health, women’s medicine, and pediatrics. Dr. Cain emphasizes individualized patient care, and employs a variety of modalities in order to tailor treatment to the patient’s needs, including homeopathy, counseling, nutritional consulting, botanical medicine, acupuncture, hydrotherapy, and IV therapies.

In 2011, Dr. Cain, received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. In 2007, she graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a M.A. in Clinical Psychology- Counseling Specialization; there she received advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Luther College.

Dr. Cain is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), and sits on the board of Fountainhead Naturopathic Medical Center of Santa Cruz, CA. Dr. Cain works to move her patients toward total health restoration, while empowering them to also engage in preventative self-care. In her spare time she enjoys vegan baking, singing with her church, and spending time with her loved ones.


Katie Disharoon, N.D.

Resident Physician

Dr. Disharoon's love is practicing general naturopathic medicine, especially seeing patients new to natural medicine. She enjoys working with patients from all walks of life, especially those with chronic gastrointestinal problems, musculoskeletal complaints and women's health concerns. Dr. Disharoon strongly believes the body naturally gravitates toward health, but sometimes requires a little help getting there. Modalities she enjoys working include diet and nutrition, hydrotherapy, mind/body interventions, botanicals and nature cure.

Dr. Disharoon graduated from National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oreg., with her naturopathic medical degree in 2011. She earned her bachelor’s degree in health psychology with a focus in human biology/pre-medical studies at Bastyr University. At that time she also graduated from Brenneke School of Massage and became an licensed massage therapist.

Dr. Disharoon grew up in the Pacific Northwest where she was introduced to naturopathic medicine by her mother who took her to a naturopath, Dr. Robin Moore, at a young age. Inspired by her experience of wellness and health promoting practices prescribed by Dr. Moore, Dr. Disharoon decided to pursue the path of the physician herself. Dr. Disharoon enjoys spending time outdoors, running, admiring nature, cooking and eating and spending time laughing with her family and friends.


Krystle Etri, N.D.

Resident Physician

Dr. Krystle Etri received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona in July 2011. Prior, she graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. After discovering her passion for health and wellness, she then attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, affiliated with Columbia University, in New York City.

Her residency focuses on primary care family medicine, including the treatment of both acute and chronic illnesses. She individualizes treatment for each patient utilizing various modalities including clinical nutrition, homeopathy, botanical medicine, hydrotherapy, environmental medicine and lifestyle counseling. Dr. Etri aims to empower her patients to take control of their health and reach their full potential on every level. With naturopathic medicine she is able to reach the whole person: body, mind and spirit.

Dr. Etri is a member of the American Association for Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) and the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association (AzNMA). She is a native New Yorker and in her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling, meeting new people, cooking and photography.


Kelly Hassberger, N.D.

Resident Physician

Dr. Kelly Hassberger graduated with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, with honors, from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in July of 2011. Dr. Hassberger grew up in Grand Rapids, MI and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. She has always had a passion for medicine and through growing up in a household that opened her up to the power of a healthy, loving, fulfilling life, she found her passion in Naturopathy.

During her studies at SCNM, Dr. Hassberger has established experience and interest in pediatrics, women’s medicine, endocrinology, and gastroenterology. She utilizes various modalities including, but not limited to, homeopathy, nutrition, lifestyle counseling, hydrotherapy, and botanical medicine.

Dr. Hassberger takes much pride in the relationships she establishes with each and every patient and works to empower everyone she encounters to make those important changes physically, mentally and spiritually that will better the rest of their lives. She is a member of the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association (AzNMA), the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), and the American College of Alternative Medicine (ACAM). In her free time Dr. Hassberger is passionate about dance and the performing arts. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, yoga, concerts, music and sporting events, and travelling.


Adrienne Stewart, N.D.

Resident Physician

Dr. Adrienne Stewart received her doctorate with Highest Academic Achievement from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ. After graduation, Dr. Stewart attended an elective rotation with Dr. Andrew Weil’s Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. Prior to naturopathic medical school, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arizona, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Chemistry.

Dr. Stewart is trained to integrate both conventional and natural therapeutics. With individualized patient care, she utilizes clinical nutrition, herbal medicine, counseling, environmental medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, hydrotherapy and has as the option to order prescription medications when needed. Dr. Stewart’s residency focuses on primary care for patients with acute and chronic diseases, with an emphasis on women’s health.

Dr. Stewart empowers her patients to be key participants in their own health and is committed to providing safe, preventive, and sustainable health care. Adding balance to her life, she enjoys dancing, decorating, and spending time with her husband, dog, family, and friends.


Nazanin Vassighi, N.D.

Resident Physician

Dr. Nazanin Vassighi graduated with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, with honors, from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in July 2010. She also received Bachelors Degrees in Molecular Biology and French Language from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2001. In the interim she resided in the Bay Area in Northern California where she discovered holistic alternatives to conventional medicine. Disheartened with the current healthcare system, this fueled her passion to pursue naturopathic medicine. Dr. Vassighi practices general family medicine but her clinical interests include oncology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, and cardiology.

She has received extensive training in homeopathy, but her therapies of choice include botanical medicine, acupuncture, nutrition, and hydrotherapy. With these tools she strives to assist patients towards better health, based on the tenets of naturopathic medicine. She is also a member of the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association (AzNMA) and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). Dr. Vassighi is originally from Colorado, and in her free time she enjoys all aspects of the arts: music, concerts, theater, acting, dancing, and singing, as well as cooking, yoga, travelling, video games, and spending time with her family and friends.
