Charitable Giving Incentive
December 11, 2005
A new law, signed by President Bush in late September, created a better tax break for charitable giving in 2005. Individuals are now allowed to write off up to 100 percent of adjusted gross income for any charitable gifts they make in 2005, compared with the 50-percent ceiling that governs other tax years. While the new law went into effect as a way to immediately provide hurricane relief, this new break supports your desire to give to any 501 (C) (3) organization, such as Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine.
The College needs your year-end gift to support enhancement of student education, expansion of the College campus, and to provide medical care to the underserved in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
