Donielle Wilson, ND, and President of the New York Association of Naturopathic Physicians (NYANP), will be visiting SCNM on Friday, Dec. 9. The visit is coordinated by the Naturopathic Public Awareness Campaign (NPAC), an SCNM-based organization whose goal is to obtain licensure for naturopathic physicians nationwide. Dr. Wilson will be teaching students how to effectively impact the legislative process and get involved in the NYANP's efforts to license naturopathic physicians in New York.
Several SCNM students interested in practicing in New York, will be flying to the state capital, Albany, to meet with their legislators on Lobby Day. This event, which is organized by the NYANP, will take place on Jan. 24th, 2006.

Last month, a New York style fundraising party was thrown at the Streets of New York in Tempe, Ariz. The festivities, organized by SCNM student Stacey Kupperman, NPAC’s state representative for New York, included a DJ, dancing and a small art auction. More than $1,800 was raised to help cover travel expenses for students to participate in Lobby Day.
NPAC would like to thank all those who attended the fundraiser in support of naturopathic medicine. If you were not able to attend the event and would like to make a contribution, an online donation can be placed at www.globalnpac.org.
