Mr. Michael Robinson,
Dean of Students

Breaking News!

New Dean of Students at SCNM

March 19, 2006

Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Michael Robinson as the new Dean of Students. Robinson took office February 28. Most recently, he served as the director of student services at Argosy University and has more than 13 years of experience directing student activities, student services, student and staff development and campus involvement.

The selection of Michael Robinson signals the end of a lengthy search process. The SCNM Search Committee identified many qualified candidates, selected quite talented persons for campus interviews, and weighed carefully the responses of our student community to the finalists. The Search Committee has identified and recommended a person whose background in student services administration is comprehensive and whose recent experience at a graduate level institution allows him to address the complexities of student affairs strategy and implementation.

Robinson, who has been at Argosy since 1999, also has served as the vice president for academic and student services and interim president at Argosy -- positions that involved him in counseling students on academic, career and personal matters, facilitating interaction between students and their professors and developing student policies. Prior to joining Argosy, Robinson was the director of student services at the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology and worked in the Registrar's Office at the University of Northern Colorado.

Robinson has a Masters degree in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Northern Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Berea College.
