SCNM Graduates
52 NDs
On Saturday, July 14th, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine will graduate 52 Naturopathic doctors. The graduation will be held at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts in Scottsdale, Ariz. Attendance is by invitation only.
Dr. Christine Girard, Chief Medical Officer, will welcome the graduating class and Dr. Stephen Messer, faculty and chair of the homeopathy department, was elected by the graduating class to give the invocation. Dr. Girard will also be presenting the Dahne Blayden and the Student Leadership Awards while Dr. Richard Eberst, Provost, and Dr. Paul Mittman, President/CEO, will present academic and faculty/staff recognition awards. Kim Palka, graduate, was selected to give the Student Address while Dr. Susan Godman will give the Commencement Address to the class.
As the graduates transition from student to doctor, Dr. Girard will take on the role as Mistress of Ceremony while Dr. Eberst and Dr. Joni Olehausen hood each graduate. Dr. Klee Bethel, Chairman of the Board, will be on hand to present each graduate with a diploma and to seal the ceremony Dr. Mittman will lead the graduates in the Naturopathic Oath and Conferring of their Degree.
