Tempe, Ariz. - The 2005 Red Ball was a great success this year! This second annual event helped to raise $100,000 to benefit The Sage Foundation for Health. The Sage Foundation helps to provide quality, natural, compassionate healthcare along with conventional medicine to the underserved children and adults of Arizona. The foundation was established in 2002 through the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM).
The Red Ball is in honor of Victoria Lund who died in 2002. Ms. Lund was a philanthropist and active volunteer in bringing quality healthcare to the medically underserved children of Arizona. The Red Ball is named for Ms. Lund's vibrant spirit and love of the color red. The funds are used by the Foundation to continue Ms. Lund's dream of providing quality medical care to the underserved in Arizona.
This year the 2005 Victoria Lund Community Service Award was presented to Marge Ebeling, founder of Arizona Integrated Medicine and the WellCare Foundation, for her dedicated years of service as a leader, visionary and advocate in support of improved healthcare for working mothers and their children.

This year's event was held in the valley at the Arizona Biltmore Resort in Phoenix. Live and silent auction items included an FBR golf package, Arizona Cardinals Football Camp, a resort package at Lespri Resort in the beautiful ski country of Park City, Utah, and many other outstanding gifts. Invitees unable to attend the event have contributed to and continue to make donations to The Sage Foundation for Health.
Dr. Paul Mittman, President and CEO of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, told NDNR, "This year's Red Ball was a huge success - hundreds of wonderful people gathered to learn about and support the College's efforts to bring quality healthcare to thousands of deserving Arizonans who are medically underserved."
