I.V.Event: IV Seminar

  • Date: Thursday, February 16 - Sunday, February 19

Details: The Medical Center, with the help of McGuff Company, Inc, is sponsoring a seminar on IV Micronutrient Therapy which will be held at the college from February 16 - 19.  This extensive seminar, instructed by three NDs, is open to fourth-year students and medical practitioners of all kinds.  A similar training held in June 2005 had 32 participants and we expect this training to be just as successful!

Event: Southwest Conference on Botanical Medicine

  • Date: Thursday, March 2 (early registration deadline)
  • Date: Saturday, April 8th - Sunday April 9th

Details: The eleventh annual Southwest Conference on Botanical Medicine is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, April 8 and 9 at our College. The conference emphasizes botanical therapies for chronic disease and also features herb walks in the desert. The conference cost is $265 or only $205 if you register by March 2. This fee covers all lectures, herb walks (except admission to the botanical gardens) and the panel discussion Saturday evening. Continuing education credits are available for nurses, naturopathic physicians, acupuncturists and pharmacists. Speakers include Dr. Patricia Gaines, Dr. Yong Deng, Dr. Mary Bove and Dr. Deborah Frances. Call 800-252-0688 to register or to find out more information. Event: Calling all Baseball Fans! 

  • Date: Saturday, March 4.

Details: NPAC needs you! SCNM is heading to spring training on Saturday, March 4 at 1:05 p.m. We’ll be watching the Anaheim Angels take on the Colorado Rockies at Tempe Diablo Stadium. The more SCNM students, faculty, friends and family who attend, the better. We’ll enjoy the game and spread our love of Naturopathic Medicine. Ticket prices and t-shirts prices will be announced later this month. NPAC’s goal is to have everyone wear something promoting Naturopathic Medicine and get people to ask us about it. This way we can spread the word. NPAC hopes to see everyone there.

Details: Dr. Nevels continues to run Saturday GYN Clinics at the Medical Center.  Spring Quarter they will run on Feb. 18, March 18, and April 15 from 8am-12pm.  Please contact Dr. Nevels for more information. 

Event: Golden Gate Family Health Fair

Details: Experience the opportunity to do screening physical exams on a variety of patients for a range of programs including Head Start and athletic programs. The Health Fair runs from 9am -1pm on March 4 and is held at the Golden Gate Community Center 1625 N 39th Ave. Phoenix.  Student and Physician Volunteers needed.  Please contact Dr. Girard’s assistant, Carolyn Paige at c.paige@scnm.edu or 480-222-9827 by Friday, 24 February.
