50th Annual VNSA Book Sale
Free
admission; (There is a parking fee)
www.vnsabooksale.org. One of the biggest annual events in the
Valley, the VNSA Book Sale offers over 600,000 used books and magazines.
The VNSA donates all of its proceeds to several charitable organizations.
People have been known to begin lining up at 3:00am and the line is nearly
a mile long by the time the door opens at 7:00am. When the crowds die
down by Saturday afternoon and Sunday, the VNSA just brings out a ton
of more books. On Sunday, everything is half off the marked price. This
is a great place to go to obtain a bunch of books related to medicine
and other interests at incredibly cheap prices. more

Introducing The Insider
By Paul Mittman, President/CEO
Welcome
back! What a difference a year makes. Last year began with the Tsunami
tragedy and continued with earthquakes, war and hurricanes. Time and again
the Southwest College community responded. We sent a physician to Sri
Lanka, and we raised money and hosted fundraisers for flood victims.
We start this New Year with the same determination and undying commitment
to serving humanity by alleviating suffering and restoring health. We
continue to mature and evolve as a college and as a community.
