This elective
will focus on local plants of the Appalachian Mountains,
Pisgah
National Forest
and
Western
North Carolina
. This area is home to some of our most important
medicinal plants including Bloodroot, Blue and Black Cohosh, Wild Yam, Poke

Sprouting Roots - Gardening at Hamilton Elementary
