ZooLights "Nature All A-Glow"

Don't miss ZooLights 2007/08, one of the largest holiday light shows in the southwest with 2.5 million lights, hundreds of custom lighted animal displays with new ones appearing every year, carousel rides, camel rides, wagon rides, and more!

Jengo the talking giraffe will return to entertain kids.  Stingray Bay will be open with some new friends... bamboo sharks and nurse sharks.  Plus there will be a new dancing tree show!

Date/Time: Nov. 22, 2007 - Jan 6, 2008; 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Location: Phoenix Zoo, 455 N Galvin Pkwy.

Admission: Non-member gate admission $8; Non-member advance $7; Member gate admission $6; Member advance $5; Children 2 and younger Free

Tickets can be purchased on-line the Zoo's webpage at www.phoenixzoo.org, by calling 602.273.1341, at any participating Fry's Food and Drug stores check out line.

Tickets are good for any night of the event and are non-refundable.

All advanced ZooLights tickets purchased before 12 p.m. each day will be valid that same evening when ZooLights opens at 6 p.m.


The Nutcracker

The most spectacular holiday event on record returns to the stage. Last season, critics gave The Nutcracker "Five Stars," called it "Spectacular" and said "It [will] leave the audience gasping." Here's your chance to see the lavish new sets and magnificent costumes from around the world and to experience first-hand this magical holiday event.

Date: December 2- 27, 2007, matinee and evening shows

Location: Phoenix Symphony Hall. 75 North 2nd St.

Festival of Lights 2007 Hayrides and Luminary Hike

Gather up your family and friends for a round trip hayride with an unforgettable luminary walk. Horse drawn hay carts head north up Desert Foothills Parkway. Guests can disembark at Telegraph Pass to partake in a luminary hike then jump back on a wagon. Local entertainment groups provide a festive holiday atmosphere along the way. While on the hay carts, you'll enjoy the white light holiday splendor known as "Deck the Walls". Rumor has it you may even break into a Holiday Carol or two!

The Festival of Lights will team up with Every Kid Counts for a Christmas donation of toys. Please bring an unwrapped toy to any of the evenings and earn a $1 discount.

Date:  Dec. 15 & 22, 2007.  5:30pm- 8pm

Location: Altadena Middle School.  14260 S. Desert Foothills Parkway.

Cost: $5 each, kids 3 and under free.  $1 discount with toy donation.

Insight Fiesta Bowl Block Party

As Arizona’s biggest and most exciting New Year’s Eve bash, the Block Party is a jam-packed evening of fun and entertainment for the entire family. More than 100,000 party-goers annually celebrate amidst spectacular fireworks displays and Arizona’s official midnight countdown drop. With more than 40 local bands and entertainers, a national headlining music act, beer gardens, dueling pianos, freestyle motor cross jumpers and more, this is one fantastic celebrationn you won’t want to miss!

Super Bowl XLII

Date: February 2, 2008; Kickoff is slated for 4:18 p.m.

Location: University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, Ariz.

Admission: radio and television coverage.  Most tickets are made available through the two teams competing in the game, and to a lesser extent through each of the other NFL teams. Remaining tickets for the general public are made available through a random drawing. There is no other means for the general public to purchase tickets.
