SCNM’s Dr. Mittman Announced as OAND Speaker

The Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors welcomes SCNM president and CEO, Dr. Paul Mittman, to the OAND Convention & Tradeshow 2011: Emerging Trends & Treatments in Naturopathic Medicine held in Toronto at the International Centre, November 18-20, 2011.

As part of the Convention Kick-off, Dr. Mittman will participate in a panel presentation comprised of the presidents and CEOs of all the major teaching colleges in the profession. The panel will present and discuss the emerging trends in health care and naturopathic medicine that are impacting curriculum, and the vision that the teaching institutions have for the future of the profession. Dr. Mittman will be joined by the presidents from Bastyr, NCNM, and CCNM.

The panel presentation will provide NDs with the opportunity to engage leaders of the naturopathic profession in exploring critical issues and trends shaping the philosophy and future of naturopathic medicine. A reception will follow the event. This is a great opportunity for students and alumni to participate on the discussion of the future of the profession.

This year’s convention presents cutting-edge research, innovation and practical applications on topics such as functional medicine, nutrition, cancer care and immunity. There will be intensives, breakout sessions, a business stream for administrative staff and keynote presentations by Mark Hyman, MD, Alan Gaby, MD, Gurdev Parmar, ND, Lise Alschuler, ND, and Associate Professor Kerry Bone.
