Dr. Vassighi Named New 2nd Year Homeopathy Resident

SCNM will have a new 2nd year homeopathy resident, Dr. Nazanin Vassighi, SCNM 2010 graduate, beginning October 2011. Thanks to a continuing generous grant from Standard Homeopathic, parent company of Treatment Options: Homeopathic Laboratories, and Hyland’s, the SCNM Homeopathy Department has been able to provide an advanced and specialized residency experience for the future leaders of the homeopathy in the naturopathic profession.

Dr. Vassighi’s journey with homeopathy began shortly before her third year studies. After sitting in on a clinical homeopathy rotation, she was deeply impacted by the modality’s ability to restore health to patients suffering from acute and chronic disease. This compelled her to seek extensive training in the art throughout her clinical years and also as a first-year resident physician. She aspires to teach students the foundations of homeopathic philosophy and prescribing as well as developing case presentations designed for health professionals and the public. Ultimately, Dr. Vassighi wishes to increase awareness of classical homeopathy amongst practitioners and patients as an effective treatment for their health needs.

In her free time she enjoys all aspects of the arts: music, acting, dancing and singing, as well as cooking, yoga, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Vassighi is honored to join the select few who have been granted this incredible opportunity in the past few years, and looks forward to playing a significant role in paving the way for future homeopaths.
