Graduation
Candidates for the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree must fulfill the graduation requirements as listed in their College Catalog under which they entered the ND program. Upon receiving an application for graduation, the Office of the Registrar conducts a formal audit to determine satisfactory completion of all graduation requirements. Results of the audit are provided to each student, who has the responsibility to respond to any deficiencies.
Southwest College conducts two graduation ceremonies a year: in July and December. Southwest College Administration decides on the dates. The dates are published in the College Catalog. The requirements to participate in graduation are satisfactory completion of all coursework, including 50 credits of clinical rotation and payment of all financial obligations to the College.
The Office of the Registrar issues diplomas four times a year, approximately four weeks after the end of finals week of each quarter. The diploma is only issued when the student has fully satisfied graduation requirements. The diploma may be picked up by the student or mailed to the student at the current address on file in the Registrars Office. The first diploma is free of charge. Students wishing to have additional diplomas or replacement will be charged $50 per diploma.
