Neil Riordan Center for Regenerative Medicine

The CDC reviewed the 2016 National Health Interview Survey, which polled more than 17,000 adults, and found that about 50 million Americans suffer from chronic pain.

SCNM is the only naturopathic medical college with it’s own integrative pain center on campus. You will attend student rotations here and practice all the pain relieving therapies we offer. At the Neil Riordan Center for Regenerative Medicine, you will study under naturopathic physicians, an anesthesiologist pain specialist, and a licensed acupuncturist. We offer patients non-opioid approaches to treating pain including hands-on therapies, acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, mindfulness-based stress reduction, nutrition, regenerative injection therapies and when necessary, prescription medications. Studying in a state-of-the-art interdisciplinary clinical setting gives us the skills and experience to help the millions of Americans suffering from chronic pain when we graduate. Regenerative injection therapies are performed using ultrasound or fluoroscopy guidance. This allows the doctors to precisely visualize the anatomical structure where the needle needs to go when injecting into a joint like a shoulder, hip, knee, and especially the spine.
