Favorite thing about SCNM
I love the focus on naturopathic medicine in particular, all of the modalities we learn and practice as our scope in Arizona is one of the best, our honors tracks, excellent community clinics, and proximity to local area clinics such as Rocky Point, Mexico. We have so much opportunity to deepen our clinical skills.

Favorite restaurant or hangout near campus
Haji-baba, a delicious Mediterranean restaurant, and Middle Eastern grocery.

Campus involvement
It’s been a pleasure working on legislative matters through N-ACT and DC FLI, the Psychedelics club, Midwifery club, Naturopaths without borders, improving the curriculum for students, tutoring, and working as a student ambassador representing SCNM at conferences.

Something unique about you
I was a professional model before I started medical school. It was fun, but ultimately not what I wanted to do. I do still love aesthetics, fashion, decor, and design.

Modality/population area of interest
I love community medicine and primary care. I speak Spanish, so majority of my patients are Spanish speakers and it’s a privilege to provide my community with high-quality care and teach them about ways to best manage their health and well-being.

Why you love naturopathic medicine
I love this medicine because there is SO much I can do to support someone towards health and healing. Naturopathic doctors, when in primary care settings, can really be a sort of “one-stop-shop” for patients where they can get many of their health needs met. I appreciate being well-trained in a variety of treatment modalities so I can best support patients.

What you love about Arizona
The desert has its own beauty, which is unique and fun to experience. I really like how I can drive an hour or two north and find myself in an entirely different climate. It’s a treat to be able to be in the woods camping on weekends. Also, citrus season here is absolutely a gem. Nothing like freshly picked and squeezed grapefruit juice.
