Michelle Cromwell PhD, ERYT-200

VP of Inclusive Excellence and Belonging

Michelle Cromwell serves as the inaugural V.P. for Inclusive Excellence and Belonging. They are an educator, scholar-activist, dialogue facilitator, and integrative complementary alternative wellness practitioner (yoga and Reiki). Michelle has served as a Vice President for Diversity Equity and Inclusion at various higher education institutions since 2015. A self-described pracademic; a scholar-practitioner, who has one foot in the academe and the other in the wider community as an activist-partner, Michelle believes in building bridges between their scholarship, anti-oppression work, the campus community, and surrounding external community.

In addition to the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion work, Dr. Cromwell serves as an independent consultant with emphasis on conflict resolution, organizational transformation, crisis management, and diversity and inclusion. Michelle works with Higher Education institutions, hospitals, and government entities to help them to address and resolve their Organizational PAIN (persistent aggravations and identified negatives).

In their spare time Michelle enjoys teaching Kundalini yoga and Reiki and developing whole-food plant-based recipes to mimic favorite foods from a West Indian childhood.
