Absorb what the Valley has to offer

You will not have a shortage of fun, unique activities to experience during your time in the Phoenix area.  If you love art, the First Friday Art Walk is held every month and is one of the largest self-guided art walks in the country.  The 6th Street Market in Tempe is held every Sunday (October – May) and features food, live music, art and shopping. You can also head right down the street from campus to the Tempe Center for the Arts (pictured above) for amazing exhibits.

If you enjoy museums, there are a number of great ones to visit in the area.  The Musical Instrument Museum (MIM), Phoenix Art Museum, and Arizona Science Center all contain beautiful and educational exhibits.

Phoenix also has a vibrant music scene.  You can see big name acts at large concerts and festivals, or check out smaller venues all over town.  Click here for all the latest music events happening in the area.

Looking for some laughs?  A number of great stand up comedians regularly perform at the many comedy venues in town.  Recently, big names such as Bill Burr and Chris Rock have held multiple shows.

We are always having a good time on campus at SCNM, but we also believe it is important for our students to go out and absorb the fun local culture all around us!
